Why are we organising Say Hi For Peace?
As travellers, we have the power to cross cultural boundaries and promote tolerance.
Every year, HI hostels around the world come together to celebrate the ' Say HI for Peace ' campaign, in conjunction with the United Nations International Day of Peace on 21 September. This initiative promotes understanding, tolerance and peace through travel. 🌍🌎🌏
This year's theme, "Cultivating a Culture of Peace", emphasises the importance of education, empathy and cultural appreciation. We firmly believe that travel transforms, broadens our horizons and allows us to discover the richness of others. Through "Say HI for Peace", we reaffirm our commitment to building a world where every traveller becomes an ambassador of peace and explores with respect.🕊️🩵

Once again this year, the Youth Hostel network in Wallonia - Brussels is taking part in the Say Hi For Peace campaign; from Saturday 21 to Monday 30 September, the network's Hostels will be collecting clothes for a Belgian charity with the aim of supporting the most disadvantaged. 👚👖🧦
