About thehostel
Close to the airport and a short walk from the train station, l'hostel is the ideal starting point for exploring the city center, strolling along the canal, discovering the city's rich history and culture, and hiking the slag heaps. The brand-new hotel has 43 rooms with 2 to 6 beds, for a total of 189 beds.
The function
The reception and activities coordinator(M/F/X) is the first point of contact for visitors tohostel : welcoming them, ensuring a friendly atmosphere, leading groups and managing bar service.
Main tasks :
Manage reservations and occupancy schedules, and answer phone calls and emails
Manage visitors' arrivals/departures, welcome and inform them, respond to their requests.
Helping and advising clients on their projects
Organize activities for school groups (activity classes), groups (youth, sports or professional associations) and visitors tohostel (board games, conversations, etc.).
Participate in the activities and projects of thehostel
Run the cash register, serve at the bar
Manage any complaints in collaboration with management
Work in collaboration with the various departments (kitchen, cleaning, etc.).
Depending on skills and time available, versatility and mutual assistance between all departments is required.
Profile and skills required
Ideally, a diploma OR experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in tourism and/or animation or communications
Relational skills
Mastery of facilitation techniques and group dynamics
Knowledge of the region's tourism resources
Good stress management for simultaneous tasks
Organizational and planning skills
Team spirit, empathy and assertiveness
Punctuality and flexibility
Good knowledge of Microsoft IT tools
Fluency in French essential, English and/or Dutch preferred. Other languages an asset.
The contract
Replacement Contract
HOURS : 0.85% (33h/week), evening and weekend shifts to be arranged
COMMITMENT : As soon as possible
Compensation and benefits
+/- €2,685.00 at seniority 0 (CP 302). Valuable experience.
