BX Downtown is a brand-new hostel with 222 beds in 44 rooms, located in one of Brussels' most vibrant districts.
It includes :

A Half & Half "all day" restaurant-bar, in synergy with the hostel

Our challenge to you:
As Reception Manager, you'll be the face and heart of reception. Our customers and teams will be in good hands with you 😊
You'll be fully involved in the launch period, helping to set up tools, create team routines and establish a welcoming culture that reflects the image of the place. You'll also play an essential liaison role with management and our Half & Half bar-restaurant, to ensure a fluid, consistent and warm experience from the very first days.
Your main tasks:
You ensure a warm, friendly and professional welcome at all times.
You recruit, train, coach and motivate your team: the reception area is your playground, and you make it a living space for both the team and the travelers.
You draw up reception procedures and tools
You are familiar with reservation and PMS tools (Channel Manager, rate management, occupancy, etc.)
You manage schedules, reservations, contingencies and surprises calmly and efficiently.
You're the link between the hostel's various departments (accommodation, housekeeping, maintenance) and also with our bar-restaurant Half & Half, located right next door.
You are the direct contact with management: your ideas, common sense and team spirit are invaluable.
You'll help promote our services (events, bar, brunches, etc.), with a little publicity if necessary!
You take care of the little (or big) worries of our customersand our teams with kindness, attentiveness and efficiency, so that the BX Downtown experience is always top-notch.
Your profile
You think thathospitality is more than a job: it's a state of mind.
You have experience in hotel reception (at least 3-4 years), and initial team management experience.
You know how to manage, motivate, organize and pass on. It's often said that "things run smoothly" when you're around.
You love working in a team and creating a good atmosphere, even when things get hectic.
You speak French and English fluently and smile in every language.
You're comfortable with IT tools (PMS, OTAS, Excel, mailings, etc.), and dashboards don't scare you.
You have a good sense of customer management: reactive, professional and always ready to listen.
You know how to solve a problem without losing your cool or your sense of humor.
You don't mind rotating shifts and dealing with the unexpected...
