About thehostel

Our Namur hostel is superbly located on the banks of the Meuse, in a former Mosan Villa in the shadow of the Citadel. People come here for parties and festivals of all kinds, to stroll along the water's edge, but also for culture and discovery! We welcome backpackers, couples and friends, as well as families and groups. It boasts large outdoor spaces and offers double rooms, family rooms and, of course, shared beds. In all, thehostel has 23 rooms for a total of 93 beds.

Your function

The receptionist (F/H/X) is the first point of contact for visitors to thehostel : he/she welcomes and informs them, supervises them and also serves them at the bar. All this while ensuring a pleasant, friendly atmosphere.

 Main tasks :

• Manage visitor arrivals/departures, welcome and inform them
• Manage reservations and ensure efficient management of e-mails and calls
• Participate in the activities and projects of thehostel
• Ensure that Youth Hostel values are respected and communicated to the public
• Work in collaboration with the various departments (kitchen, cleaning, etc.).
• Versatility and mutual support between all departments is required.

Your profile

More than a diploma or experience, we're looking for people who are passionate, motivated and full of energy!

• Relational skills
• Good knowledge of the region's tourism resources
• Good management of stress linked to simultaneous tasks, and organizational and planning skills
• Team spirit, empathy and assertiveness
• Punctuality and flexibility
• Good knowledge of Microsoft IT tools

Your contract

• CR (+/- 2 months)
• SCHEDULE : 19h/week
• COMMITMENT : As soon as possible

Compensation and benefits

• +/- 1396 € at seniority 0 (CP 302). Valuable experience.
• Meals on site
