In September, thehostel de Jeunesse Jacques Brel in Brussels joins the international Say HI! for Peace campaign run by Hostelling International and the United Nations, to celebrate the International Day of Peace (September 21).
Throughout the month, free activities open to all invite you to share, create and celebrate peace in a friendly atmosphere.
To kick off the festivities, thehostel courtyard will resound to the committed sounds of Kanaal 9000, a Molenbeek-based militant pop group. A festive moment that combines music and a message of hope.
From 7pm to 10pm, thehostel 's Babel Bar will be transformed into a veritable playground. On the program: collaborative games and fun activities to encourage social interaction and encounters. A great opportunity to have fun while sharing a moment of conviviality.
Throughout the week, visitors and residents of thehostel will be able to contribute to a large-scale participatory fresco in the Babel Bar. Write a word, draw a symbol or leave an inspiring message: every contribution will enrich this common work dedicated to peace.
