After several months of music, new encounters, and wonderful discoveries throughout Wallonia and Brussels, the second edition of Auberges en Scène came to a spectacular close on June 20! 🎶
For this grand finale, we're heading to thehostel Youth Center in Liège, where the courtyard was transformed into a veritable musical stage for the Fêtes de la Musique.
And with summer temperatures in full swing, the atmosphere was… very, very hot! ☀️🔥
For this second edition, the entire Youth Hostel network took part in the adventure, notably with the addition of two new stops inCharleroi, and at theJacques Brel Youthhostel in Brussels.
For several months, the young artists had the opportunity to perform at various local rounds held at our hostels—fr Malmedy to Brussels, including stops in Namur, Liège, Tournai, Charleroi…—before earning their spot in the grand finale.
Another new feature of this edition: two weekends of artistic coaching offered to participants. On the agenda: voice work and stage presence training in Namur, followed by a lyric-writing workshop in Charleroi. This will help them develop their artistic vision, build confidence, and prepare their performances as effectively as possible. ✍️🎤
For the finals, seven music projects took the stage:
Dejoy, Emi, Marie Mawet, Don Fuego, Blue Flowers, Always One Missing (A1M), and Chalexa.
Rock, pop, rap, hip-hop, R&B… The styles were as varied as the personalities on stage.
And to say the least, the seven finalists gave it their all. They brought different styles, strong personalities, and—above all—an infectious energy that had the courtyard of thehostel buzzing all evening long. 💥
A huge round of applause to them for their performances and for all the energy they put into this adventure! ❤️
After an evening full of excitement, three awards were presented:
🥇 Jury Prize: Always One Missing (A1M)
🎤 Jeunesses Musicales Prize: Chalexa
💛 Audience Choice Award: Blue Flowers
Congratulations to everyone! Each artist brought their own unique touch to this finale and helped make this second edition a wonderful celebration of music and togetherness.
And a big thank you to the audience for coming out, cheering on the artists, and creating such a great atmosphere in the courtyard of thehostel de Jeunesse de Liège ! Your enthusiasm is an integral part of this adventure. 🫶
After a first edition, followed by a second one that was even more extensive, Auberges en Scène obviously has no intention of stopping there…
A third edition is already in the works behind the scenes, with new surprises in store 👀🎶
