Every year on September 21, we celebrate the International Day of Peace with our "Say Hi For Peace" campaign . As travelers, we have the power to cross cultural boundaries and promote tolerance. 🌏✨
Since 2013, Hostelling International has been mobilizing its global network of hostels to encourage peace and intercultural dialogue. This year, we're focusing on "Cultivating a Culture of Peace", a theme that emphasizes the importance of education, empathy and openness to others. 💬🤝
Once again this year, the Youth Hostels of Wallonia-Brussels and the HI Flanders network are joining forces for a major clothing drive in aid of the non-profit organization Les Petits Riens. From September 21 to 30, you can drop off your donations (clothes, accessories, textiles) at our hostels. A great way to help those in need, while giving a second life to your belongings. ♻️❤️
✋ How do I get involved? ✅ Bring your clothes to one of our participating inns. ✅ Encourage your friends and family to do the same. ✅ Share the initiative on social networks with #SayHiforPeace.

Throughout September, HI hostels around the world will be organizing events to promote peace: solidarity walks, creative workshops, inspiring musical playlists... Everyone can take part in their own way! 🎶🎨🚶♂️
