About thehostel
Gîte hostel de Jeunesse "J. Brel" is located in the heart of Brussels and is open all year round. It has 188 beds, 4 meeting rooms, a restaurant and a bar.
The average annual occupancy rate is over 80%. The public is broken down as follows: 51% groups and 49% individuals.
Gîte Kaleo hostel de Jeunesse "J. Brel" is a member of HOSTELLING INTERNATIONALthe worldwide network of youth hostels.
Today, the team includes 17 passionate employees who work hard every day to achieve over 45,000 overnight stays a year (average occupancy rate 82%) and offer our customers a unique travel experience.
Our mission is to offer meeting places, accommodation and quality services that contribute to the development of young people through travel in a humanist spirit, and to participate in the emergence of a critical, responsible and supportive active citizenship.
Your function
- Design, implement and evaluate actions in line with the four-year action plan
- Contribute to the development of a medium-term vision for the direction of the residential and meeting center.
- Example of tasks: finding partnerships to offer a philosophy workshop to groups on holiday, running the Citymagine game, supervising a workshop as part of HI for Peace and leading participants to produce something concrete around this theme.
Your profile
- Good knowledge of the youth sector, in particular the Youth Centre Decree of the Youth Service of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, and of associations in general
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (communication, animation, education, socio-cultural animation and continuing education)
- Interest in social issues and support for the values defended by the association
- Ability to organize work independently and coordinate it with the rest of the team

- Good interpersonal skills with target audience (mainly 12-26 year-olds)

Your contract
- Part-time permanent contract
- SCHEDULE : Part-time (19h/week), evening and weekend shifts to be arranged
- COMMITMENT : As soon as possible
Compensation and benefits
- +/- 1396€ at seniority 0 (CP 302). Valuable experience.
